Redesign, migration and product customisation for Magic Custom
Migration to PrestaShop 9, with the full data set carried over. A bespoke theme built on Hummingbird, custom modules written for the business, and a new version of our product customisation tool. We have supported the shop ever since, and the project keeps growing with it.
The Challenge
Magic Custom sells personalised clothing. The heart of the shop is not the catalogue, it is the tool that lets a customer build their own product before ordering. Any migration therefore had to preserve that mechanism, along with all the data behind it.
Moving to PrestaShop 9 raised three problems at once. The catalogue, the customers and the order history had to be carried over without loss. Some of the installed modules were not compatible with the new version, and several were no longer maintained by their authors. And the customisation tool, built specifically for this shop, had to follow the same version jump without the client losing any of their settings.

Our Solution
We took on the whole project, from the server through to audience measurement.
Full data migration: catalogue, customers, orders and saved personalisations.
Bespoke theme built on Hummingbird, the modern PrestaShop 9 foundation, rather than an off-the-shelf theme adapted after the fact.
Incompatible modules dealt with one by one: updated where the vendor kept up, rewritten where they did not.
Several modules developed specifically for the textile personalisation business.
New version of our product customisation module, with all existing settings preserved.
Microsoft Clarity and conversion tracking put in place, to observe real customer journeys.
Successive interface adjustments based on observed behaviour rather than assumptions.
A continuous presence from the first conversation through to today's improvements, with the same people throughout.
Deployment of PrestaSecure, our own monitoring and protection solution for PrestaShop, on the new shop.

The shop now runs on an up-to-date technical foundation, with a theme whose every line is ours. The modules that were blocking the version jump were dealt with rather than worked around, which makes future updates simpler.
The customisation tool went through the same upgrade and keeps evolving alongside the catalogue. Clarity and conversion tracking are in place, so adjustments are decided from real visitor behaviour.
The shop is monitored continuously by PrestaSecure, our own product. Files, modules and access are checked around the clock, and we are alerted before the client if anything moves.
Going live opened the next phase of the work. We stay with Magic Custom until the result matches what was expected, then we stay for what comes next: support, after-sales, and improvements at the pace the shop needs.
